l am an eighth grader and l have a 78 mph fastball with great accuracy l also have a great knuckle ball and change but l a have high schools coming to my tournaments asking whether im a catcher or a pitcher because l can do both im a very good hitter l went 21 for 23 in a tournament for 16 and under kids. In that same tournaent l had a .96 era with 31 strike outs so l dont know what to tell the high school l started saying whatever you want me to play but they said that l should make the decision. l am starting to fill in so its not lik im going to stay at 78 for the rest of my life a scout saw me pitch and said l will get up to a 92 mph fastball. just so you know im 6'1 145 lbs thnx for answering

yu sound like a pitcher my friend, just ask to be a backup catcher so when you go up against weak teams you can ask your coach to switch u up, thats what l did

Do both and try to have as much fun as you can. Your pitching arm is a friggin' thunderbolt and the day is coming where people are going to take the fun away from they game you love and take away your childhood also. They are going to turn baseball into a job and then is when you can specialize in one position.

Have fun, Thunderbolt. Your childhood is coming to an end.

people recruit 3 main positions, short stop, pitcher and center field. that is where the athletes are (not to say catchers are clowns). go the pitching route, you will save your knees, later in the game you can always move back behind the plate (ie jorge posada played second well into his minor league career). it is an obvious choice really, good luck, loose the knuckle ball if you can throw that hard, it will mess with your motion

smaller high school you could prolly do both but a larger one you will have to choose. mostly just make a decision whichever you like better.
but l would suggest catcher, a good catcher is hard to come by so you might have a better chance to get a college scholarship at catcher.

For highschool there is no reason you can not do both. However, with your frame and likelihood to grow even more, l would stick with pitching! Master your change and learn a good breaking ball, probably a curve since you throw a change, and be able to locate to four spots each pitch. If you throw 90 is with pin point accuracy and the knowledge of how to pitch.you will have no problems getting to the next level.

do what ever you like but dont over do pitching so early, all those tourneys are great but l have seen too many kids blow out their arm too early and if that happens you wont be playing ball at all

but you should catch because it is the best position in baseball

Personally, l love catching, it is my life.

But, however, u seem to be a better pitcher. l can never get mad at my pitchers, haha. l just can not do it, no matter how mean they r or how awful they play when in a bad spot.(rare occurance)

BUT l also lead u to pitching because my knees r wicked screwed up already, from catching without knee-savers for so long. (Knee-savers suck, they're wicked annoying.)

You seem to excel in the pitching position, but go with ur heart. If u truly want to catch, then try to play backup until u get the primary position. (We have a pitcher doing that now.) Meanwhile u can lead ur team to some precious wins.

l think that you should do what you feel like doing. Do not trust Y!A to chose what you want to do. You do what you feel like doing. If you wanna pitch, pitch. If you wanna catch, catch. l think you are the answer to this question.
