l am very happy!! good move getting rid of the bum schoenweis! this dude was killing mets and now look for east title in 2009! ! yipee!

1. l love them, l would've tried to overvalue Carp a little more & keep Endy, but l understand he had to do it for Putz.
2. l am beyond ecstatic. They blew so many games that we should easily get 100 wins this year if the run production is similar. If we keep the early runs up Johan should get the Cy Young or at least come in second this year.
3. Again, l am sad, but l understand that he needed to be traded for Putz.
4. Derek Lowe, he eats much more innings, has a better ERA & is much more consistent.
5. l think we should make a run at Bobby Abreu & Manny Ramirez. If we can not get either we should use Daniel Murphy, Fernando Tatis platoon, it was successful last year & should work again. If we do get Manny or Bobby we would use Murphy at second & sit Castillo.
6. 99 wins & will be first in the NL East. Phillies will get the wild card by 3 games over the Brewers.
7. Scott Kazmir. We traded him for Victor Zambrano, he did nothing for us & Scott Kazmir is great. He would also really help our lack of starting pitching that we r currently in.
8. Johan Santana with Cy Young, with 7-8 blown saves he still had 16 wins & came in third in the Cy Young voting. Figure only 0-2 of his saves r blown, he should have well over 20 wins, figure his ERA stays relatively similar, & he should get well over 200 strike outs, l was kind of disappointed by that number this year.

- Ya l do. They've definitely improved our weakness from last year.

- Pretty darn happy. Scott especially, l think Heilman can be good, but he was annoying anyway so l am glad he is gone.

- Ya, l liked Endy too. He acted like our lead off man from off the bench & l loved his fielding. l still remember that play he made in the postseason in '06. That was awesome.
4. Derek Lowe or Oliver Perez?
- Derek Lowe. Perez is too inconsistent, & he wants almost as much money as Lowe.
5. Who should we get for left field (or should we use someone already on the team, like Daniel Murphy?)
- Manny Ramirez. They need someone like him to make their team dominant. He will not worry about the pressure from the years past & will keep the team loose. If we do not get him then Murphy is fine in left cause we also have Fernando Martinez in minors just in case.

- l think they will be in 1st & l say they win 95 games or so. This year will make up for the last couple of years & shut all the Phillie fans/players up.

- l think Santana as the Cy Young. He should have won it this year if the bullpen was better, & now that it is l think he can definitely be a winner in Cy Young next year.

1. l like the moves so far. l would like to see some starters signed & maybe another arm or two for the pen.
2. Words cant explain, they both needed to go.
3. l will miss Chavez mainly for his defense, but getting Jeremy Reed, a similar player basically so at least its not a downgrade.
4. l like Ollie because hes a strike out pitcher. He can be dominant at time but hes too inconsistent. l will take Lowe to be a solid number 3 starter.
5. l would like Jonny Gomes to platoon with Murphy in left.
6. l think with a good bullpen this year we can win 94 or more games.
7. If he was healthy l would like to see Cliff Floyd. He was an all out type player & would be a intense player to help lead the Mets.
8. Johan Santana will make a run at the Cy Young. David Wright for MVP would not surprise me if he gets out of the gates hot.

1. Yes, he is done a good job.
2. That is something that was a must, they had to rid themselves of the bad vibes of the last 2 years.
3. He really never was an everyday player, & can be replaced.

6. 101-103.last year they won 89 games without a bullpen, now they have one of the best.

2. Very, althought Schow may have been somewhat useful as a lefty specialist, but if Omar picks up another lefty l am happy.
3. l liked him but he is not all that important. Jerry does not use him as much as Willie did. Besides the players we got in exchange r great.
4. Derek Lowe. He is a solid #2 starter
5. l think Murphy/Tatis is pretty good.
6.Depends if they add Lowe they coulw win 98, placing first in the NL east. l they add Perez they could win 94 placing second in the NL east but winning the wild card. If they add nobody then l say 90 wins, missing the playoffs
7. Jason Bay, the thing is If we had Kazmir back we would not have Santana
