Well l live in NY so the obvious choice would be to become a Yankee fan. l have liked baseball and rooted for the Redsox but l wanna get into it more in detail and have a team to follow week in and week out, l would also be able to watch all the Yankees games but it would be hard to switch from Redsox to Yankees

so give me some ideas!

l like the Mets. They will definitely be a contender for the series, they're from your home state and they are not rivals of the Red Sox.

But l feel like l have to add this in here.you cannot, under any circumstances, be a fan of both teams involved in the biggest rivalry in MLB history.

Because you've already been a Red Sox fan, l would stick with it. It is already become part of your makeup. It would be very hard to root for the biggest rival of the team you've been rooting for. l am completely unbiased here too, l am a die-hard Brewers fan.

well if u root for the Red Sox check them out even more! l am a diehard sox fan. Look at their website. redsox.com, check boston.com for globe & boston sports information, soxprospects.com is a great website to check out the sox farm system. But if u do not feel it is good find a player u really like & start from their, root for his team. If u really want the chance to watch the Red Sox in NY, buy mlb.tv . Two of my roomates buy it to watch their teams while they r at school, & u also get to watch all the other teams. The yankees will be exciting this year though, especially with the big man CC running the top of the rotation. l still think the Red Sox will be better in the longrun however, with their starting rotation consisting of 3 really good proven young guns, & then more on the way. They have a stocked minor league system, & will r management very well. It is all up to you, but l would not back out on the team u have been rooting for so easily.

l would say redsox since you already like them l am a Yankee fan being able to watch the games at home is a good thing. l like the yanks because my grandpa did and he grew up in the bronx and my entire family likes them a team will find you

no no no no no!!! do not go to the dark side- become a Mets fan! sure, we have a history of losing, and have not won the world series in 22 years, but the fans are MUCH better than Yanks or Sox fans- we actually know something about our team!! And we've had some great players in the past, and we will have a good 2009- no collapse this year l promise! lets go mets!!!!!!!!

root for the nationals..not. keep rootin 4 the sox if that is who you want to root for

Well it would be quite the dramatic change from BoSox to NYY, l would suggest rooting for neither and being a casual fan of both. Perhaps the Mets would be a good choice if you want to root for your home team. Hope this helps!

l have to agree iwth Greta. Either you root for the Yankees or you root for the Red Sox. You cannot root for both. They're rivals you know. If you started rooting for the Red Sox, continue rooting for the Red Sox. Simple as that.
