We need a center feilder and he is now a free agent what are your thoughts

oh God no. He is fast. and uh. o that is it. We have Brett Gardner, who is faster, younger, and we do not know what else he can do yet so we need to give him a shot.

He is a lifetime .283 hitter & he steals bases like holy hell.


He is also a very good Center Fielder he covered so much ground in that big ass ball park in Colorado & has a great arm..

Great defense, great base stealer. Willy can play some center field. He will hit .285 and steal over 50 bases easy. You have to at least consider him as an option if you have a void and he is available.

naw, i'd stick with melky/gardner. l really do think melky will have himself a nice season in new york next year, & gardner is faster than taveras, & he could probably hit pretty well once he makes some adjustments. plus they say austin jackson will be ready around 2010 to come up, & he is going to be awesome, so garner can move to left, & l hate to say it but melky will probably be gone by then. so it just does not make sense long-term. plus if something goes terribly wrong they could put damon in there next year. & if they trade for cameron, theres almost no way theyd get willy.

l think thats instresting. l think the Yankees need a spark plug type of guy. They need that guy thats going to get on base and get the whole team going. l think Taveras can be that guy, but the Yankees should not be foolish to give him more then 2 years or more then 5 million a year.
