The 78 Yankees. The Pirates were a great team back then but against Ron Guidry, Sparky Lyle, Goose Gossage, Catfish Hunter, Thurman Munson, Reggie Jackson, Graig Nettles, and the rest of that powerhouse team they would lose the series 4 games to 2 games.

The '79 Pirates were a team of destiny!!!!! They could not be stopped!!!!! In 1971, Clemente carried the Pirates, in 1979, it was Stargell is turn. Every decision Chuck Tanner made, worked like a charm!!!!

l hate to say it because l love Pittsburgh! But l think that the Yankees had to many people on their team to pull the series out in a 7 game series. Yankees had pitching and great hitter on their team besides Reggie.
