l think most of them have been well earned but the Set-up guy of the year was totally Carlos Marmol's. Marmol pitched 7.1 more innings (87.1) than Kuo (80.0) and had 18 more strikeouts than Kuo. The Marmolade was cheated.

l do not think Marmol was cheated. l think Kuo had too many more holds than Marmol for that to be true. Marmol had 40 and Kuo had 60. That is really the barometer for a set-up reliever.

l think Kenny Williams should have got executive of the Year. l mean his moves were perfect relying on Danks and Floyd in the rotation and getting Alexi Ramirez and Carlos Quentin for almost nothing.

But these awards are a popularity contest and not actually about ability, so meh.

They are good except ( l know l am biased here, but l have a good point) Joe Maddon of the Rays should have been the Manager of the Year. l know Manuel won the World Series, but Maddon led his team from the bottom to the top of the AL East and then took them to the World Series. He got his players to listen to his messages like 9=8. They played well because of his inspiration.
