Both have extremely similar career stats. Both could be HOFers if they continue the way they are. Halladay completes more games but otherwise they're very similar.

Who is better would you say?

Halladay. You have to remember that he pitches in a much harder division and has much less run support.

l would say Halladay, because hes in a tougher league and division, and throws more CGs then Oswalt.

Their the two most underrated pitchers in baseball but l will have to go with Halladay because he pitches in the American League.

l am gonna go against the grain here & say Oswalt. l think Halladay definitely pitches in a harder division, so there is really no way to compare their numbers. But who is to say that if Halladay pitched in the NL Central, he would not have the same numbers? Oswalt has nearly as many career wins (129 to Halladays 131) & has pitched for 3 less yeas (and about 30 less games) than him. Oswalt is career ERA is 3.13, Halladay is is 3.52. Oswalt seems to always pitch 200+ innings every year. They're both excellent pitchers, but l am going to go with Oswalt here.

Oswalt is no joke man. Yes he does pitch in the nl west but l think he is one of those guys that are just plain good no matter where they pitch. l think the nl and al dh factor is mostly over states. its does not make that big of a difference. not every american league team has david ortiz playing DH.
