The US started going into this depression about 4yrs ago. Baseball salaries has been going up every year.
l guess you do not watch the news much keith. People are losing their homes, cars, jobs that is fact not psychological. l personally know of one man that is struggling to keep his home. He works two jobs making good money. Is that psychological or fact.
So, l say to you keith get off the computer & stop paying your video games & turn on the news or pick up the paper and wake up.

Because thousands of people come to their games, paying hundreds of dollars each, about every day and so there is a HUGE income.

Because it is not baseball season now, so nobody knows if Americans will continue to fill the ball parks.

Primarily because the biggest source of income for the biggest spending teams (like the Yankees) is TV - and the contracts for local television are already in place. Regardless of a ''depression many teams have lots of money to spend. Anyway, 95% of Americans still have the same jobs they had six months ago and will have no problem going to games if they want to. For most folks the whole ''recession/depression'' thing is just psychological.

Because their dumb. Their all making more than everyone in this section will make in their life time. it is outrageous. l hoping they will put a salary cap. But like me theres millions of people buying tickets and merch even from the crap teams.

Well, Its mostly because people enjoy to get away and enjoy sports. It is very sinful though for the New York Spankees to give these sinfully greedy contracts to players. l think its awful, and unfair to smaller market teams, who have to earn a WS appearence, not buy one.
