l know this very well may a completely ridiculous question but l was watching sportscenter and they were talking about a poll about who will win the AL East and for some reason (i was kinda doing other things around the house so l most likely heard incorrectly) but l thought they said that the blue jays and orioles were no longer part of the al east and that the situation was under reported. l was just wondering if this was true, or if l just didnt hear the guy correctly.

No, it was just a joke. They did a poll on espn.com that asked who would win the AL East. The only choices were the Yankees, Rays, or Red Sox. The Yankees and Red Sox because they're competitive, and the Rays because of their 2008 season.

They joked that the Orioles and Blue Jays were not even in the division anymore, because there is hardly a chance that they will win it.

the blue jays and the orioles were just in that division because of their geography. Other than that, they were never in the Al East.

What they meant is that they are out of the question to win it not they are actually OUT of it
