He refused to play for the Yankees 10$ Mil, much more than he is worth. And now he is listening to offers from the Rangers and Dodgers, how would you feel if he took another offer?

Well, I've been a Yankee fan FOREVER. With the new aqcuirements of AJ Burnett & CC Sabathia, l do not think that the Yankees really need Pettitte. With Mark Teixeria & all the other free agents, the spending must stop! l think 10 mil is way too much. He went 14-14 with a bloated ERA last season. The Yankees have great pitchers now. Plus Pettitte is way too old! Who knows? Maybe give Phil Hughes or Ian Kennedy a chance? They pitched horrible last season but pretty good in the minors & during the offseason. l do not think he will get an offer over 10 million, but he if he takes it good for him. He will be missing a World Series Ring if u know what l am saying.

I'd rather give Phil Hughes another shot than give Pettitte 10 million. The spending spree is gotta stop at some point.

l want him back a lot, but he is making a fool of himself wating a month and a half to decide on an offer.

As a die hard fan, l DON'T CARE! In 2007 he went 15-9 in 2008 he went 14-14. If he took another offer good for him, he left after 2003 so do it again, he will take the offer from the Yankees because no other team will give him more than 10 mil. Plus the Yankees should go after Lowe or sheets, were already gave up 3 draft picks but we get 2 more from not signing ours in 2006/7 l would want Lowe is aging & ben Sheets gets injured thats the only problem. Pettite is just aging & he would give a split season like 2008, l would have wanted Randy Johnson back he is like Pettite except older & gets more k's. l conclusion l do not care where he goes as long as we make it to october.

l want pettitte back. l missed him when he left for the astros. He is a great pitcher and has alot of history here. l would hate to see him leave.

Baseball is a business. You can not blame anyone for looking out for themselves. The owners always look out for themselves so why not the players. Andy still has a few more good seasons left but the big question is if he really wants to play. He has hinted more than once that he might retire. If l am an owner l do not want someone whose not 100% into his career. He he stays, fine. If he leaves, no big deal.

If he has offers from other teams, then l would say ''See ya, Andy!''.

He refused to take less money than the $16 million he made last season, even though he won exactly TWO games after July 31, & his ERA after that was over 6. The Yankees made a strong run after the all-star break before they collapsed, & Pettitte was one of the main reasons why.

He has been a great Yankee, but he left them five years ago to pitch in Houston, then said he was only interested in playing for the Yankees next year, & he would retire if they did not want him back. Pettitte is supposedly a classy guy, but he is just like a lot of athletes, all about the money. He is at the end of his career, & is a back of the rotation guy now, not worth nearly ten million. It is time for the Yankees to cut ties, & give Phil Hughes a chance. Hughes was very good when he came back last September, & will give the Yankees more than Pettitte now, at a much cheaper price.

l think we take him. hes a solid #5 and ifhe has trouble hughes can step in hes much less $ than sheets 2

He is washed up. l do not want him. Let another team be dumb enough to pay him $16 million

If Pettitte can find a team willing to pay him 16 million or give him more than 1 year he should take it and they can have him.
l had been under the impression that he wanted to finish his career at the new Yankee Stadium. l guess it really is always the money!

Pettitte is left before. He was sick of being treated like a second class citizen, always been put on the back burner. If l were him & l contributed so much of myself to the Yankees for so long, l would get angry as well.

At this point, it is only his pride getting in the way of signing. It is also the Yankee Front Office is pride getting in the way of reaching out to him.

It is basically at a stalemate. Someone is got to give in.

He is finished--do not sign him, let him go to an opponent in AL East
