Do you think the Mets 2 straight collapse was because Castillo l think yea in l got reasons

because when Castillo was injured the Mets was on a role they had a 10 game winning streak in then Castillo was about to come back when the Mets beat the Phillies 3 times in that for game series in when castillo came back the Mets could'nt hardley do nopthing he was a waste of bat when it was two me on base he hit it in the middle in get a double play so l think Castillo was the main reason they collaspe this year in they but him in the last 6 games of the season

in another thing l no it was the bullpen to but they had more runs when they did not have Castillo in the bullpen blown alot of games

The bullpen was horrendous!
Also, the hitting(clutch) was not very good.

Castillo was terrible, but the collapse was a collective effort.

Oh yeah, Luis Castillo is a spy for the Phillies and he displays all the weak points so the Phillies can take advantage..

Man who care im a Mets fan no respect or Trust in the Mets they have made us wait two year foe playoff baseball in next year im not excited cause l ready no its gonna be the same thing l might not even watch them next year l might just watch couple game or when they play the Phillies but no trust or respect for the Mets

umm no, sure castillo was bad but our problems were bullpen & injuries, just look what the mets have done they have greatly improved the bullpen not just by getting Putz & K-Rod but the fact they got rid of Schoenweis & Heilman was probly the best move ever & dont forget they also got Green from the Mariners too to help fill the bullpen. all the mets have to do is stay healthy & l see no reason why they cant win it all & we already know we can beat the champs. nothing is gonna stop us next year, the only thing is injuries.

l think Castillo was one of the big reasons why the Met could never seem to get a rally going. He was constantly hitting into double plays & grounding out to the right side of the infield. He was not a contributor at all, & was a rally killer. But the Mets had other problems too. Their bullpen could not save a game to save their life! No one seemed to hit in the clutch. They all seemed to fold under pressure these past 2 seasons. Actually, make that 3. In 2006, there is no reason at all why the Mets, the best team in the NL that year, should not have beat a .500 team. l consider it to be 3 collapses in a row, because the Mets just could not produce results when the pressure was on & it mattered the most! l also think there was a managerial problem early in the season. l did not agree with a lot of the in-game moves Willie Randolph made, & he did not seem to be much of a motivator. l think Jerry Manuel did a better job, but there is only so much u can do when you're a manager- u can not hit & pitch for ur players- in the end it comes down to how badly they want to win, & apparently, the last few years, they did not want it that bad. l agree with u about Castillo, but l do not count him as the only reason why the Mets collapsed. Too bed we're stuck with him for 3 more season, unless Omar can find someone to take his contract (good luck!)
