Um, have you thought about going to the Big 5 and actually trying stuff on to see what fits? Do you need help with your pants and shoe size here as well? Amazing.

Squatting for nine innings, taking the odd foul ball off the head & blocking the plate r not real comfortable..so u better make sure ur gear is comfortable at least.

Even if u end up buying on line, I'd go to a store & try everything on. Once u have the pads & shin-guards on, tell the guy at the store u want to sprint up & down the aisles a couple times. Who cares if people stare at you.it will be a lot worse if u trip & fall while chasing a pop fly during ur first game.

If u have a second-hand sporting goods store like Play It Again, I'd try looking there too. Not only will u save a ton of money, you're likely to see more variety too.

First of all, DON'T go to the big 5. You will get absolutely no help. Find a good baseball specialty store & talk to the guys there. You will probably want junior or intermediate sizes, typically for 12-16 year olds. The best gear out there is the TPX Bionic & the Rawlings Workhorse & Coolflo models. A little more expensive, but lighter, cooler, more functional, & more comfortable than the mass produced crap that Nike sells.

At all costs stay away from Nike & All Star they make mass produced junk & big box cheapo specials respectively. They will both start falling apart on u mid season.

Easton is very good, but is cut bigger than Rawlings so unless you're a wide-body, it may be too restrictive.

Do not get Mizuno unless u want the other players to laugh at you.
