l believe he is the best player not to be in the HOF. He is deserving and should be there.

Almost 400 home runs, just shy of 2500 hits, a .298 batting average. A very consistent player for 16 seasons (all with boston). He was also an above average fielder. He did strike out alot and never won a ring (more a product of the cursed teams he played on) but l think he deserves to be enshrined.

Yeah he is. l have a little crush on Jim Rice. l think he wears sexy suits when he is on NESN.

l am hoping the writers put him in this time, for one simple reason: there will be less written, post-announcement (12-Jan.), if Rice gets in, than if he is left out (''in the cold!'') for the final time.

And we can all use a lot less drivel written about Rice, especially at this time of year.

Just vote him in and be done with it.

this debate could be very interesting, for those statistical guru is out there he would not be worthy, l mean only 382 homers, 2500 base knocks & just below the .300 lifetime batting avg.
but for those baseball fans, l believe there could definitely be worse choices to induct into the baseball Hall of Fame, Mr. Rice is closely compared to the likes of Duke Snider, & Billy Williams. (by the way both which r hall of famers), but also compared to the likes of Dick Allen who retired way back when & is still on the front steps looking in.

Jim Rice is induction is loooooooooong overdue. l really hope he gets in.
