That means he is getting ''666'' for ''6'' years ($6.66 million each year for 6 years! That sounds a little scray to me. Why would you want your contract to be the devil? lol just kinda funny/scary when l added up the numbers!

l am not jealous of him, the first line of what l wrote should pretty clearly say that. l am glad he got his money he deserves it. He is a great second baseman & a great hitter. l say good for him, what l was pointing out was just the funny thing about his contract averaging 666 each year, also the other person who said contract are pro-rated obviosly that is a given, l was just pointing out an amusing fact of the fact that his ''Average'' salery is 666 per years. l agree with u l would have asked for 10 million a year after winning the mvp award. He is one of those players like David Wright, Ryan Braun, Evan Longoria, who didnt care about getting a huge amount of money, instead Pedroia said 40 million is enough money for me, & the best thing is there gauranteed all the money incase they get injured. Imagine if Pedroia got a serious career ending injury, he wouldnt regret recieving the 40 million dollars.

This is not the forum for a bible study & l do not intend to enter into that discussion with you. However, l will say there is a lot of misconception about the origin of the numbers ''666'' & u have to look to the book of Revelation in the bible for the . The entire book of Revelation was written in the ''Apocalyptic'' style of writing where numbers relate to people or events. To make a long story very short the numbers ''666'' as used in the book of Revelation actually refer to the Roman Emperor ''Nero'' who ruled in 54-68 AD. Christians were being persecuted during that time & Nero was considered to be the Devil because of his actions. As such, we should all be very happy for Pedroia & his money since it is well deserved & there is no implication with the Devil & he wo not go to hell.

l love pedroia because unlike many others in sports, he is not a spoiled brat. he shows up and plays his heart out in every game as if it were the world series. l call him pig pen because he is always filthy after every game. he is not BUILT like a million dollar man maybe, and maybe he ai not good lookin', but let me tell you. he has CLASS, has the MVP, and last year rookie of the year. there is not a better spirited guy in all of baseball and i'm happy for him.
