l think Manny Ramirez will be back in L.A. with the Dodgers. l say he will sign the deal he got in less than 2 weeks. It is funny how his name has only been mentioned going to the Yankees & Dodgers. Yankees wo not give him the money he wants because he will be more of a distraction. Dodgers seem like the best fit for Manny. Young, l am not sure where he will end up, but l think he will be in the National Leage. Peavy is going to the Cubs. The deal is back on & they r finding a third team to add in there. The signing of Mark Loretta helps the Dodgers so much, as Nomar gets injured alot. If Jeff Kent returns, he wo not be healthy, Loretta is just an insurance player.

To be honest, Loretta is a decent pickup for cheap. He is a .297 lifetime hitter that is fairly productive when called upon to play.

The ''big names'' r not going to start signing until the first big domino (probably Sabathia or Texiera) falls.The Pads were not going to trade Peavy within the division so long as there was still hope for a Cubs or Braves deal..so for the time being u gotta get what u can get.

At this point in his career, Loretta is a more reliable back-up at the four infield positions than Nomar & he wo not kill u as a short-term starter if DeWitt or Blake struggle. Finally, he is had some big late-season at-bats in his career.and the Dodger is weakness at pinch-hitter was really exposed last year when all they had was a struggling Mark Sweeney & a bunch of light-hitting gloves.

Yes this will suck if it is the Dodger is biggest off-season move.but l have faith Colletti still has a bunch of money to spend.HOW he is gonna spend it is what worries me.
