God, l do not think these would make the top 50 ''worst moments in mlb history'' The steroid controversy, players taking money to blow World Series games, racism, there is a whole lot worse things than poor Piazza not being gay. You do know there was baseball before 2000, right?

Rock Firestorm is probably on track. The Pittsburgh Pirates cocaine scandal in the late 70's, Juan Marichal is bat wielding incident, Thurmon Munson, etc......

l so do not care who is gay or not, but the ball off Canseco is head was very amusing. However, neither one of these r defining moments of baseball.

Perhaps the worst ''moment'' was all the years before 1947 when there was a ''gentlemen's'' agreement not to integrate the game. Or perhaps the Black Sox of 1918. Or Tony C is career being snuffed by a Jack Hamilton fastball. Or this whole steroids thing. Or 100 years of Cubs futility.

Jose Cansecos error was not bad, it was just freaking hilarious. The Mike Piazza had nothing to do with baseball, it was his personal life. The worst moment is the steroid era, for sure.
