l play baseball. Whenever l throw the ball (usually fast) my arm begins to hurt and only gets worse as l throw, even bat. l play third base.
What is it and what can l do about it? (It feels like a muscle)

get yourself checked by a doctor first, to make sure there is no damage done to your arm.

You should always stretch and warm-up before throwing a baseball fast or hard. Run, Stretch then play some Catch for about 10 minutes. Also do not throw so hard you are is going to hurt. Maybe your just overthrowing that your arm can not take it.

l had that problem. it goes eventually. it is because you are throwing too, which is straing your srm muscles. plus, since you play third base, you have to throw a longer distance, therefore throw it harder!

take a ice bath this will relax all your muscles in your body then after that use moist heat and ice every 20 minutes your arm should stop hurting for a while and plus you should tell your coach so you can just watch instead of a full practice if that means just running for baseballs just do not throw it will only make it worse

You have about 2 months before baseball season do not try throwing hard or throwing curves and stuff like that!

if u play every single day it usually gets sore when you throw. most people say to ice it, but Tim Lincecum says ''Ice is only good for injuries and drinks''

l had the same problem. it is your throwing mechanics. need to stop using it for a few months and then work on mechanics. start tossing and then slowly building speed, do not rush, and smooth delivery. do not over do it and let the delivery speed it up.
people will tell you, and it will feel better in, a couple of weeks but it kept coming back until l took a whole year off.

Im a baseball player myself and im a pitcher but l would sometimes feel pain in my arm until my coach told me that it was because of my mechanics. So short story long l fixed my mechanics and my arm hasent hurt since and im throwing really hard.

Probably just fatigue. Make sure you ice it everytime after you play a game and practice, and use some bengay or icy hot, that usually helps. l used to wear a wrist/sweat band on my elbow and that seemed to help me from getting to fatigued.

You should ice your arm. 15 minutes on, 15 off, and so on until your arm stops hurting. You could have pulled a muscle, but that is just a guess. I'd see a doctor, and for the time being, ask your coach if you can play first until your arm heals.

Stop over throwing and work on mechanics. Im a pitcher and my arm hurt bad after my first season. 4 years later my arm still hurts sometimes but not nearly as much. Just go through the motions at home.

yeah, ice your arm between innings, or go to a doctor
