Anybody is worth any amount that a team is willing to give up. Correct me if l am wrong someone, but l believe it is Alex Rodriguez (ten years, $250 million). If a team is willing to pay a player millions, then yes they r worth it in the eyes of that organization & that is all that matters.

EDIT: And why do u care anyways? Is it ur money? No. l highly doubt u r going to Yankee games & l doubt u buy Yankee gear considering u like the Jazz l would guess ur pick of a baseball team (if u like baseball) would be somewhere closer to u than New York. So if u r not paying to go to the games, & if u r not paying to buy their gear then ur money is not going towards his paycheck, so do not worry about it. It is not anything concerning you.
