l would change the LCS from a best of 7 game series to a best of 5 game series, but keep everything else the same.

Reduce the schedule from 162 games to 120 because by the end of the season players r exhausted. l would also add the DH rule to the National League, because of the risk of pitchers getting injured on the baseline. And l would also add in a new rule that fines players for not playing to the best of their abilities. Ex: l would fine Carlos Beltran, Luis Castillo, Jose Reyes, & David Wright because they're lazy as hell on the field & do not give a crap if they screw up. So why should they be paid all that money?

l would put the salary cap on baseball. l would keep the DH in just the AL too, l like that difference that separates the 2. l would enter challenges, l would let the managers throw the red flag (once per game).

Move a team to New Orleans LA(either yankees, mets, angels, or dodgers since each as 2 in one city) Require that each team must have at least a 100 mil dollar salary cap so each team has a chance at good players or they have to sell the team. Get rid of the DH! Require allstars the previous year to have at least 8 mil dollars a year & starters to have at least 10 mil a year. No more one year deals & no deal can be longer than 8 years. Limit the salary to 22 a year. Get rid of the winner of the ASG gets home field advantage. Put the Astros or a team from the NL Central in the the AL West so there is 15 teams in each league & 5 in each division. Put 6 teams in the playoffs for each league top 2 in each division & division teams cant play against each other in the first round & the top 2 teams(must be from diff divisions) get a bye. The home field adv is determined on WS team better record.

Play a short 22 game mini season wich u play each team twice, Home & Away. 2 Lowest records of mini-season go home. leaving 4 teams in each league which best record of each league have home-field advantage & play the following based on mini season, 1st plays 4th, 2nd plays 3rd winners play winners while loosing teams play losers from same round.

Well, as a fan of the game, I'd put in both a salary cap, a ticket cap & a concession cap so teams have an equal ground on which to compete & the average family can go to the game.

my second move (or first one if l can not do that one) is to institute a policy where anyone caught using PED is loses their right to negotiate contracts greater than one year in length & greater than league minimum (no bonuses) for life.

One mistake & it is league minimum forever.

1. Make Bud Selig accountable for his fraudulent behavior concerning Barry Bonds & the steroid issue. Letting him play in order to hit more home runs than Aaron, knowing full well that Bonds had tested positive to steroid use, not once but TWICE. Allowing all of those Giant fans to spend their hard earned money to watch a bogus record in the making. Not to mention cleaning up the mess he has made of the game.

2. l would get rid of the DH & inner league play.

3. Elect a Hall of Fame committee & not the baseball writers association to determine what former players r worthy of the hall.

4. Relocate the Tampa Bay Rays to either Orlando or Tampa. The presently play in St. Pete. Tropicana Field is a disgrace.

5. In some way put a restriction on ticket prices so they can be affordable to that average working person. Make the owner honor it in the best interest of the game.

6. Keep the steroid users, gamblers & cheaters out of the game & out of the Hall of Fame.

7. The All-Star game should not determine home field for the world series. The team with the best regular season record gets home field.

l am sure given time l can think of a few other measures to clean up & improve the game.

1. Remove the ban on Rose. If Clemens isnt banned Rose shouldnt be. Rose never beat on a game he played in or threw a game.

2. Remove the Steinbrenner family from baseball.

3. Put a sal cap on baseball & add that performance base contracts.

4. New Rule any player found guilty of cheating must return his salary for current year & prior year. Agent who represented him be put on probation & not allowed to do business with any MLB team for 2 years. This will hold them accountable. Also if the player is found guilty his contract is voided & after suspension he would go back to making the sal of a 10th round draft pick. This is known as the now u make jack POOP.

Funny thing about most of these is the commissioner can not do anything about most of them. Salary cap, no DH, shorten the season, change playoff game series length - out of his hands, Ca not add a team, sure can not remove one.

The one thing l would do is force every team to open its books for scrutiny by an independent accounting firm. At least this way we'd know how truthful these guys are when they are screaming poverty.
