l am a Cardinals fan and for the first time in many years l am not optimistic about their chances.l think the best they can hope for is 4th in the NL Central behind the Cubs, Brewers and astros.They have done nothing to improve the team.Three left handed relievers who are not any better than what they had.I am not sold on Greene returning to his old form until he does it.The team is counting on Chris Carpenter coming back.l thought they would have learned from last year not to count on an injured pitchers and they let Aaaron Miles go.l did not see his as an everyday player but he played everywhere except 1B and Catch last year and was an exceptional untility player.

Mets.

They wont blow the late inning games, but they will be 2-4 games out of first behind the Phils. l think they'l make the wild card tho

Red Sox.

Wild card at best. They have been too docile in the off-season in terms of landing another bat and a suitable replacement for Varitek. The pitching looks better than last year, though, which is why l say wild card at best. The Yankees have improved wayyy to much to not be in the playoffs, and the defending AL east champs Rays just signed Pat Burrell, so they improved as well.

Im a Detroit tigers fan and l think this year they will finish 1st because once there bats get hot and there pitching goes well, there unstoppable!!! Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

l just hope the Pirates finish above .500 this season.

Cubs.
they show that they r getting ready to aquire Jake Peavy, if & when they do they will have the best pitching staff in the MLB (possibly ever). Zambrano, Dempster, Harden, Peavy, Lilly!!!!!!! then if somebody gets hurt they have Jeff Samardzija!

l honestly expect them to finish the regular season with 101 wins, the amount of years it has been since they won the world series & then.

they r going to play in the World Series vs the Red Sox & win game 1, game 2, lose game 3, win game 4, & win game 5 at Wrigley Field because the AL will win the All-Star Game!

So for some reason l continue to cheer for the pitchless Rangers. At least its exciting baseball because we hit a lot of homeruns but also we give up more. worst record in all of baseball this year!! Well maybe the Nationals can come in worse.

Alright. Well, l am as confident this year that l have been in years. With the Angels losing Tex & K-Rod, they lost firepower on both sides of the baseball.

My team, the Texas Rangers, r young. Very. But we have studs.Hamilton, Kinsler, & Young.and young pitchers like Hurley, Feliz, Holland & countless prospects, incouding those. Chris Davis, to me, is an emerging star & MANY ''experts'' predict a BIG season from him.

l expect a second place finish. l still think the Angels win it but we will contend & give them our best. If the bullpen holds up & the starters give us some good outings, we could very, VERY well be playing in October.

l am thinking the Rockies will finish over .500 and play meaningful games in September, but will probably miss games in October.
